Privacy Policy of Anime Release Tracker
Effective Date: Nov 4, 2026
Who we are
Anime Release Tracker ("the app") shows real release dates and live countdowns for anime, and lets signed-in users react, review, chat and save a personal list. This policy explains what information the app uses and why.
Information We Collect
Account: your email address, a username you choose and your password. Passwords are handled and stored (hashed) by our authentication provider; we cannot read them. Optional profile picture: if you choose one, the image is resized on your device and uploaded. Profile pictures can be viewed by anyone who has the picture link. Content you create: reviews, ratings, reactions, your saved list, chat messages, and reports or blocks you make. On your device only: your language choice, the release reminders you set, and translations you have requested. These are stored on your phone and are not sent to our servers.
Microphone and voice input
If you tap the microphone in Community chat, the app asks for microphone permission. Speech is turned into text by the speech-recognition service of your Android device (usually provided by Google). The app does not record or store audio. The text only appears in the message box and is sent only if you press Send.
Notifications and reminders
If you allow notifications, the app can show reminders that you set on an anime countdown. Reminders are scheduled on your own device. The app does not send push notifications from a server. You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone settings.
Photos and Advertising
The app only accesses the single photo you pick when you choose a profile picture. It does not scan or upload your gallery. The app shows ads served by Google AdMob: banner ads, full-screen ads, app-open ads and rewarded ads. Some rewarded ads are optional: you choose to watch them to unlock a feature inside the app. AdMob may collect and use device information such as your advertising ID and IP address to show and measure ads, as described in Google's privacy policy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
Translate and AI features
Translation and AI-written summaries may be switched on in the app. When they are on and you use them, the anime summary text (from AniList), basic details of that anime and your chosen language are sent to our server and then to an AI service provider to produce the result. Your name, email and account details are not sent to the AI provider. Results are saved only on your phone. Our server keeps a daily usage counter linked to your account to prevent abuse. AI text can contain mistakes.
Third-party services
Supabase: hosts our database, authentication and file storage. AniList: provides anime information. Your device contacts AniList directly to load it, so AniList can see your IP address like any website you visit. Google AdMob: advertising. AI service provider: translation and AI summaries. If other ad networks are added in the future, this policy will be updated before that happens.
Community rules and safety & What other users can see
Community chat and reviews must follow our community rules, which are shown when you sign up and in Profile. You can report a chat message or block its author by long-pressing it. We may remove content, or suspend or delete accounts, that break these rules. Signed-in users can see your username, profile picture, reviews, ratings, reaction totals and chat messages. Your email address and saved list are private to you.
How we use information, Keeping and deleting data & Security
To run the app's features, show community content, keep the community safe, show ads, and fix problems. We do not sell your personal information. We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account inside the app: Profile > Delete account. This permanently deletes your login, profile, reviews, ratings, reactions, saved list, and chat messages. Data is sent over encrypted connections and access to each table is restricted so users can only change their own data.
Children, Changes to this policy & Contact
The app is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under that age. We may update this policy when the app changes. The latest version is always available inside the app under Profile > Privacy policy. Contact: support.astrixo@gmail.com
